Long Beach, Ca (04/09/2010) – A Guinness World Record ™ Attempt will be gearing up on Fri, April 30th at Shore Ultra Lounge. The current record for “Largest Group to Simultaneously Take a Shot” is 1300 people in Germany taking a shot of Corn Schnapps. Shore Ultra Lounge, in combination with sponsors P.I.N.K. Vodka and Sparkles Angels, are going to bring the record back to America by providing 1500 people with FREE shots at midnight!
The Guinness World Record™ attempt is being held as a fundraiser for CSULB scholarship and Don’t Die Drunk, a local nonprofit organization. Don’t Die Drunk will provide the event with multiple FDA approved breathalyzers for all in attendance to use free throughout the night. They will also be giving out numerous prizes, including “Taxi Cards”, which are gift cards that may only be used on taxi rides. Doors open at 8 pm.
Shore Ultra Lounge will prepare 1500 “Watermelon Jolly Rancher” shots using P.I.N.K. Vodka, the World’s Perfect Party Spirit. P.I.N.K. Vodka created the first super premium vodka flawlessly infused with caffeine and guarana. At midnight, Sparkles Angels will hand out all 1500 shots in custom made “test tube” shot glasses that everyone keeps. As soon as all the shots are handed out, a New Years Eve style countdown with organize everyone to take their shot and enter the Guinness World Records!

On Sat, Sept 19th, it is going to be Long Beach Day because we are going to bring a record back to America! When it comes to worlds of records, Guinness World of Records is the leader! We at Dont Die Drunk have paired up with Shore Ultra Lounge in Long Beach and are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the world biggest group of people to take a group shot at once!! The current record is 1300 people in Germany taking a shot of corn schnapps, so we have prepared 1500 shots for free for anyone who shows up! There will be a $10 cover to get in, but a majority of that is being donated back to Dont Die Drunk. The doors open at 8, and the shot is at 10:30 sharp, get there early because its going to hit capacity fast!! Our last attempt brought over 1000 people, and this record shot is looking like it will hit 1500 no problem. The shots are going to be mixed with Belvedere, who have sponsored the event and provided us with the alcohol!! Although not all records of guinness are put in the book, the best ones are, so lets make it happen Long Beach!

If you havent heard yet, the newest and hottest club in Long Beach had their Grand Opening this past weekend. Shore Ultra Lounge, formally known as Sachi’s, unveiled their new layout to party goers. The have ininstalled a cold shot room, with chilled shots of premium vodkas from around the world, new floors, lights, and sound system. They are now open 7 days a week also, bringing in even more people. The new owners care about drunk driving, and were more then happy to let us place one of our FDA approved breathalyzers into the club before the Grand Opening. It is good to see a bar taking action against drunk driving by providing their guests with BAC awareness tools!
