Supermodel Bridget Hall arrested for DUI

East Hamptons- The former supermodel Bridget Hall was arrested Sunday night after failling a breathalyzer test. Hall is denying the charges, and has said she didnt have a drop of alcohol that night.
Hall said “I had been visiting a friend and was driving home late alone. I did not drink — I would never drink and drive, God forbid that I would ever hurt anybody. I respect the law. I was tired and that was it”

Chris Klein serves four days in jail

Los Angeles - After being arrested for his 2nd DUI, Chris Klein served 96 hours in jail under his own accord. He also finished a 2 month stay in a live in rehab facility. 31 year old Klein appeared in person at the courts in Van Nuys and pleaded no contest to driving under the influence. In addition to jail, he was sentanced to 4 years probation, and 18 months of alcohol education classes.
“I apologize for my wrongdoing and I really appreciate that the court gave me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this,” Klein told Judge David B. Gelfound
His attorney, Blair Berk, told PEOPLE, “Chris took immediate responsibility for what he did and has used this experience in such a positive way to get help to confront an addiction to alcohol. He deserves enormous credit for stepping up and getting it done.”

Sheriff Deputy in O.C. Convicted of DUI

Mark Wayne Hewlett, 30, of Orange County Sheriff’s Dept was convicted and sentanced to 3 years probation for a DUI charge. He pled guilty to 3 misdemeanors in exchange for the probationary offer by an Orange County Superior Court Commisioner.

He will have to pay over a $1,000 fine, attend a three month alcohol program, and attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving victim panel. He also may get the third misdemeanor, possesion of a controlled substance, dismissed if he attend a court drug program for first offenders.

Hewlett was driving home from a friends when at 1:45 a.m. he lost control of his vehicle, drove over a curb, across a lawn, and collided with a planter in front of a home. The home happenened to belong to Orange County Supervisor Bill Campbell. According to the prosecutors, Hewlett got the minimum term for a driving under the influence conviction.

Donald Duck arrested for DUI, seriously!

Massillon, Ohio - Police were called by a women waiting in line at a drive through pizzaria after the car behind her bumped into her repeatedly. After bumping into the women, the driver stuck his head out of the window and said “Sorry dude, something must be wrong with my brakes. Police arrived to question the man, who was named…Donald Norman Duck. The police said that Donald Duck had bloodshot eyes, and smelled like alcohol. While questioning Donald Duck they found a small bag of marijuana. Duck went on to admit that he had also had a few drinks, as well as taken some perscription pills, before getting behind the wheel. Donald Norman Duck was arrested for DUI.

Vince Neil busted for DUI again

Vince Neil was arrested, and later released on a $2,000 bail, for suspicion of driving under the influence in Las Vegas. Vince owns a bar located in the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. This is the 2nd time Vince has been arrested for driving under the influence. The first time was in 1984, when Neil plead guilty to manslaughter and drunk driving, resulting from a crash that killed the passenger of the vehicle he hit.

This is the most recent incident with the police for Vince Neil. He was arrested after asaulting a music producer in 2002, again in 2003 for attacking a worker in a legal brothel in Nevada, and yet again in 2004 for hitting a sound engineer at a concert in Dallas.

Famous Artist Thomas Kinkade busted for DUI

Less than 2 weeks after one of his companies, Pacific Metro of Morgan Hill, filled for bankruptcy, Thomas Kinkade was busted for suspicion of driving under the influence. Shortly after 9pm on Friday Kinkade was pulled over when an officer noticed that his 2006 Mercedes didnt have a front license plate. After pulling over Kinkade, the officer suspected he had been drinking, and called in a CHP officer to help.

Man arrested for 14th DUI

Mark Hoffman, of Lincoln, was arrested recently after running a red light and colliding with another car. Hoffman, 53 years old, had his license revoked in 2007 and reinstated in Feb of 2008, even after having 13 prior DUIs. His BAC measured .112%, which is over the 0.08% limit.
Police Chief Tom Casady said Hoffman was first arrested for driving under the influence in 1975 when he was just 19 years old. Casady posted this comment later on his blog ” “Don’t ask me how a guy with 13 prior drunk driving convictions is ever able to get a driver’s license again because I have no clue.”

Mel Gibsons DUI is expunged

Most of us remember the infamous case of when Mel Gibson got a DUI in California back in 2006 when he used anti-sematic remarks to the arresting officer. He later pleaded guilty to driving 87mph while holding an open bottle of tequila. His alcohol content was 0.12, which is one and a half times the legal limit.
Since then Gibson has comlpeted his 3 year probation, paid $1600 in fines, attended AA meetings, and perfomed public services. Since he was a first time offender, he was able to get a California judge to hear his case, and decide to expunge the DUI from his record.

Nick Nolte’s son busted for DUI in Santa Monica

According to TMZ.com, Brawley King Nolte, son of the famous actor Nick Nolte, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and possession of a controlled substance while in Santa Monica yesterday. Brawley starred as a kidnapped kid in the movie “Ransom” a while ago. Law enforcement sources tell us that Nolte hit another vehicle while trying to change lates, and when the cops arrived he was showing signs of impairment. After conducting a field sobriety test, they arrested him. His bail was set at $5,000

 

TMZ has learned Nick Nolte’s son was arrested for suspicion of DUI and possession of a controlled substance yesterday in Santa Monica.

Law enforcement sources tell us Brawley King Nolte — who starred as the kidnapped kid in “Ransom” back in the day — struck another vehicle while making a lane change yesterday afternoon.

When cops arrived, we’re told the 23-year-old showed signs of impairment, so cops conducted field sobriety tests and eventually arrested him. Nolte’s bail was set at $5,000.

13 year old designated driver gets pulled over.

We understand that you should always designate a driver who is not drinking, but one California couple took that too far when they decided that a 13 year old boy would be their best decision.  29 year old Donald Hughes and 32 year old Heather Choulos asked the boy to drive them home after they had a dinner date on Sunday. Both of them already have prior drunk driving arrests.

The boy managed to drive the car onto a busy street, but then stopped and stalled the car. When police spotted the car and came up to it to see what happened, they knew right away something was wrong. Choulos was charged with misdemeanor count fo child endangerment and misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Hughes was not charges with anything.

300,000 Californias have THREE or more DUI’s!

California has an evergrowing problem with repeat drunk drivers. Right now there are over 300,000 drivers that have THREE or more DUI conviction, and 40,000 of those have FIVE or more convictions. In 2007, drunk drivers were involved in more then 53,000 accidents, killing over 1500 people in California. It is statistics like these that show a need for a new, better way to combat drunk driving. We need to fight this problem at its source, the establishment where people are drinking. Drunk driving accidents account for around 20% of all auto insurance payments in California.

Man gets DUI in motorized wheelchair!

Milwaukee- Daniel Samplaski, age 35, was spotted by deputies in Milwaukee around 2:30 in the morning in heaving fog. He was heading east on the Marquette Interchange when they reportedly saw him in one of the lanes in his motorized wheelchair. He was taken into custody for DUI after he blew a .23, which is nearly 3 times the legal limit, in a portable breathalyzer.

Clippers Randolph arrested for DUI

The Clippers came close to beating the Lakers, but couldnt quite get there at the end of the game last night. The final score was 88-85. After the game, Im sure some of the players went out to relax and have a few drinks. This time, Randolph of the Clippers may have had one too many. According the California Highway Patrol officer Tony Garrett, 2 police officers pulled over the car of Randolph for speeding down the 405 in his white Rolls Royce. The incident occured around 2:25 A.M. Once pulled over, the officers said the inside of the car smelled like alcohol. They then proceeded to give the Clipper a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was arrested on drunk driving and taken to jail. A short while after his arrest he posted a $5000 bail, and was released.

2nd DUI offense for former Congressman Sweeney

John Sweeney, the former Republican Congressman was arrested Sunday for DUI. Police pulled him over for speeding early in the morning. He refused a breathalyzer and a blood test for blood alcohol content. A short time after being book he posted bail, which was set at $5,000. In 2007 Sweeney pleaded guilty to driving drunk, and had his license suspended, paid a large fine, and attended alcohol classes. Since this is his second arrest for driving under the influence, it is considered a felony. He will automatically lose his license for one year, as mandated by the DMV.

Man gets DUI on motorized bar stool, seriously?

This is a picture of the barstool that a 28 year old man built using a lawmower engine. When he was questioned by police, he told them he had drank 15 beers. He went on to tell police that the barstool can go 38 mph. Women Gets 3 DUI’s in 3 Days

A 60 year old women who was vacationing in Wisconsin was arrested for DUI 3 times….in 3 days! The first arrest came at 2 p.m. when a deputy saw her trying to get her car out of a ditch wearing only 1 shoe. When tester, her BAC came out to 0.21, which is almost triple the legal limit. The next day she got her car stuck in the snow of a park campground. When the police questioned her she said she had drank 4-6 cups of wine, and was still finishing off the box in her car from yesterday, DUI #2. After spending 12 hours in jail, she was released and starting heading west. Not long after police got reports she was driving all over the road, and pulled her over. This time she was a .16, only double the legal limit, DUI #3. I cant imagine what would have been going on in her head to drive, maybe nothing was going on and that was the problem. She now faces 30 days in jail, along with substantial fines.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra pleads Not Guilty to DUI

The next schedules hearing for the conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is April 20, following his plea of not guilty to charges of DUI.
Since he was entering this plea, Paavo Jarvi did not have to appear in court athe the Hamilton County Municipal Court.
The polices arrest Jarvi last week, saying that he was asleep at the wheel of his car, which was stopped at an intersection along Wooster Pike. He then failed a field sobriety test, and refused a breathalyzer.
