Ok everyone, we know you have heard of the Guinness Book of World Records, but have you ever thought about trying to be in it? Well now you can!! We have partnered up with Shore Ultra Lounge in Long Beach, and the Sparkles Angels Shot Girls, to throw a fundraising event and try to break a World Record for the largest group shot. Everyone will be given a free shot and we will have a countdown then all take them together! The current record is 1300 and it was done in Germany with corn schnapps, and we think its time to bring the record back across the Atlantic! As a company we arent against drinking, just drinking and driving. Shore Ultra Lounge has offered to donate a large percent of ticket sales back to our non profit, which is an amazing offer. They were also the first club to contact us about placing one of our breathalyzers in their club, and it has been doing great ever since! They have an outstanding management team who is dedicated to not only bring the best entertainment and nightlife to Long Beach, but also giving back to the community and keeping their customers safe! You can read all the details about the record attempt at WorldRecordGroupShot.com! More and more details are being added every day, and you’ll want to get your tickets in advanced because it is selling out fast!!

Make sure to look for our breathalyzers this year at the Pride Celebration in Long Beach on May 16 & 17. We have made a deal to provide blood alcohol awareness tools around the 2 day celebration at no cost to the event planners, $1 for drinkers. The money collected from the breath alcohol instrument will help us expand to be in more bars around the community.
Over the previous 25 years the Long Beach Gay & Lesbian Pride Festival Celebration has become the 3rd largest in the country, and attracts over 90,000 people. They pack the Shoreline Village Drive area with 7 dance areas a main stage for Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson.
This festival revs up the economic engine for our community, generatin $10 million in direct spending to Long Beach, and $20 million to the regional economy! With sponsors like Ed Hardy, Budweiser, and Bacardi supporting their event, how can it go wrong!

LONG BEACH - A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney
said Long Beach’s First District City Council Candidate Bill Grisolia is still facing two charges for driving under the influence of alcohol. This contradicted statements earlier mentioned by Grisolias representative.
The incident occured on Jan 24 in San Pedro, which is why it is being prosecuted by the L.A. City Attorneys Office, spokesman Frank Matelijan said. The two charges he faces are driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a BAC (blood alcohol concentration) above .08%.

LONG BEACH — A random DUI checkpoint led to the arrest of a mother of 2 after she was caught with an open bottle of beer in her lap. The checkpoint was located on PCH and Loynes from 6pm until 2 am. At the time of the incident, her 2 children were sleeping in the back seat of the car. Joyce Lopez, 21 year old from Huntington Beach, was arrested for driving under the influence according to Long Beach Police Dept.
Sgt. Tom Marcoux said the police tested her BAC (blood alcohol concentration) and found it was nearly DOUBLE the legal limit! “Oh my God,” was the first thing Marcoux thought after he noticed the 2 children in the back seat and the strong odor of alcohol in the car. The children, who appeared to be ages 1 and 7, were taken into protective custody by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
